See you soon, Dad

Many of you know my dad, Joe Kidgell, has not been well lately.

Last night he went Home to be with Jesus. I will miss him, but I'm happy he's not suffering anymore. And I'm also envious, knowing he is dancing with the Lamb of God right now.

Mom called at 3:45 this morning, and I've been up ever since. Although I'm an early morning person, I'm not THAT early! So, if I don't blog today or tomorrow, please don't think I'm ignoring you. I'm simply in a daze...

When you think of us, we'd sure appreciate your prayers. My mom's name is Doris, and she just finished moving into a new house, so this is a stressful time for her.

Thanks, you guys. I love you all,
Jen

  3. Oh Jeanette, I'm so sorry to hear your news! I'm sure even though you're glad he's free of pain and with Jesus, you're still grieving. It's never easy to lose a parent. I know. I lost my dad right after I was first married. I'll be praying for you and your family, that the Lord will give you peace, comfort, and guidance in the coming days.

This is my step-dad; my real Daddy died when i was ten, but Joe is the dad who raised me, and i love him as much as if he were blood.

  6. Thank you, Jeanette, for sharing with us and asking us to pray. I hope that your family will allow yourselves to handle the end of Mr. Joe's earthly life however your heart needs to be healed.

    It's okay to cry.
    It's okay to reflect.
It's okay to just sit and do nothing.
It's okay to talk about him.
It's okay to laugh at memories.
It's okay to share your REAL feelings.
    It's okay, Jeanette, it's okay...

    I love you.

    smooches,
    Larie
