What About YOU? Do you love your nation?

Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better.

Okay, ready for today’s?

What do you love best about living in your nation?

Since yesterday was July 4th, when we in the United States celebrate our freedoms, I’d like to know what you value most about the place you live.

For me, the freedom to worship God and speak openly about His Son, Jesus will always be at the top of my list of what I love about the U.S.A.

What about YOU?

  1. Good question :0)

I think that the freedom of religion is one that I definitely appreciate daily. I'm also so happy to live in a country where we have so many choices in our lives.

  2. What I don't like about this nation, is how the freedom's we enjoy here are so often taken for granted. I just want to shake some people and say, "realize what you have!" :O)

  3. Before I scrolled down to read your answer I was going to answer the same way. But I'll go with the freedom to express opinions and thoughts.

  4. I like freedom of the press, and I am increasingly alarmed at the slanting of our news. Broadcassters' opinions interjected in the presentation of factual material is misleading. I like NBC's anchor, but I don't need him to "make sense of it all." Just give me the facts and let me digest them. Wow! You really hit a hot spot of mine, Jeanette. Can you tell? Fabulous question!

  8. It's still the best country in the world to live in. And all the things you said, too. :)

  9. Jen:
I also would have to say freedom of religion. Our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they included it as a basic freedom in our land.

  12. I can't imagine not having freedom of religion but close behind that I'm thankful for Canada's protection of the wilderness. I'm not a rabid conservationist but I love nature and our wild places and their accessibility to me.

  13. Freedom, freedom, freedom! And the Christian ideals it was founded on.

  14. Lots lots lots!!! But if you put a gun on my head and ask me (lol) I would say the tradition in India, of living with your parents and taking care of them while living with them till the end...makes me feel good about living here. I wouldn't want my parents or grandparents to face the old-age-home thing. Neither would I prefer them to spend their old age alone. Although, because of modernization, they've come up in many cities, still its not a good thing from an Indian's eye.
