I'm Not Scared, But I Could Use Your Prayers

This isn't me!
Tomorrow at noon I'll hop into a rental car and drive five hours to Oregon, IL, to speak at a women's retreat. Four one-hour messages about (what else?) Grace and Laughter.

The first session includes my testimony of how the Lord brought me from a mixed-up, rebellious teenager raised in an alcoholic home to a princess of the King of the Universe. It is a stirring story, and even though it's my own, I always choke up when I tell it. God's grace is so remarkable.

God's love changes how you see yourself

The next three sessions will cover how to receive God's grace for ourselves, how to extend it to others, and how to find more laughter in our lives.

The following weekend I'll do the same thing in a different location: drive five hours to Henry, IL, and share four one-hour long messages, beginning with my testimony. I suspect I'll be emotionally and physically exhausted by the end of the two weekends. My full-time day job Monday-Friday will be squeezed in-between the two retreats.

I'm not scared of driving by myself, I love speaking and singing, and I cherish the opportunity to minister to people who need to hear about God's grace. But I could use your prayers for protection, anointing on my words, open hearts to receive God's love, and for every detail to go smoothly as I speak and travel.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you.

How has Jesus changed your life?

  1. Oh, I am praying for you! I wish I could be there to hear it! And Jesus has changed my life so completely and radically that my new self doesn't even recognize my old self. And I'm forever grateful.

  2. Wow! You're a brave one! One hour is a long time to talk - much less - hold anyone's attention these days! But I'm sure with your vivacious spirit, it will seem more like 35 minutes :)
    Sure, I'll pray, Jeannette!

  3. Jeanette:
I've been praying. My friend Terri (Aunt Sherm) has been praying, I know she has. You will be covered in grace as you travel and as you speak.

  4. The Jesus that was on the outside is now 0n the inside of me and He is the most dear person ever. He is always with me and I am never alone. He has shown me grace over and over. How I need Him. How I love Him.

  5. Jeanette, I'm praying also that you will be covered in grace as God showers you, and your audiences, with His amazing love.

    Blessings,
