Hooray for Second Chances! Family on the Range by Jessica Nelson book Giveaway

If You Believe in Second Chances...
If you believe in second chances, you’ll fall in love with Family on the Range by Jessica Nelson.

In her inimitable, warm style, Jessica continues the story of a secluded Oregon ranch through the eyes of the owner and government agent Lou Riley, and his spunky housekeeper, Mary.

You’ll delight in the many twists this unlikely romance takes, and bite your nails more than once when Mary and the young, abandoned girl in her care fall into danger. And if you’re as hopeless of a romantic as I am, you’ll want to slap Lou upside the head more than once for his missed opportunities and insensitive remarks.

Theirs was a mess only the good Lord could fix, and I loved Ms. Nelson’s creative way of showing how He managed it.

Jessica Nelson, novelist extraordinaire
Two things I always appreciate in the reading of a Jessica Nelson novel are learning new words and bits of history I hadn’t known. Every book is a treasure box of rich descriptions and intriguing facts that sneak up and take me by surprise. As a former History teacher and word addict, I appreciate increasing my brainpower while being entertained by Ms. Nelson’s tremendous ability to weave a romance.

I love that kind of second chance. You’ll love it too, when you delve into Family on the Range.

This week I'm giving away a copy of Family on the Range! To enter this drawing, you must:

  2. Jeanette: I believe in second chances because it gives a person a new lease on life. Without the second chanceGod gives, we would all be lost forever.

  3. Lou sounds like someone I can relate to--missing the obvious. I think QuietSpirit responds to your question very well.

  4. Hi Jeanette! Phew!! Just made it to this contest :)
I believe in second chances because sometimes, being faced with new ideas or demands, I just freeze up. It's overwhelming, and I either can't move, or I think of all the reasons it won't work. After a while, I warm to the idea!

Thank God he knows that about me! What a patient and understanding God we have.
    Happy Weekend!
