One of my earthly heroes is my husband; I tease him about "raising me" spiritually. When we married I was 19 and compared to now, I knew nothing. Perhaps he didn't know all that much then either, (he's 3 years older than me) but he'd learned a whole lot more about life than I had at that point, and he had his convictions firmly fixed, and that was a great example to me. :) He's still a great example and inspiration to me. As a Canadian, I do know about the presidents of course, but not well enough to place one above the next. I did read that Ronald Regan always had a nap which makes me think he was a wise man. :) I can't think of someone I see as a 'hero' currently, yet I do read everyday stories of the 'heroes' who have overcome so much in their lives and following our Saviour faithfully spreading His light. She was instrumental in my future, but at the time, it was not known. She encouraged me to join in a country fair for my designs at 11 years old and I won first place. I didn't think I could follow my dreams and she instilled in me that I could. Next my heros would have to be three important people in my life. My parents and my grandmother. They were great teachers and God fearing folks who taught me so much by watching their examples!! As for a President, I would also have to say, Abraham Lincoln for his steadfast honesty to do the right thing when it was very difficult to do so. He stayed true to truth and we need more of that today!!

Thanks for sharing this interesting post. Thank you also for stopping by and your kind comment. Blessings for a great weekend ahead. xoCelestina Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10021633519525822335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2081925465275931199.post-31653608590356970432016-02-18T15:29:55.312-06:002016-02-18T15:29:55.312-06:00I don't think I could zero in on just one....a...I don't think I could zero in on just one....after Abraham Lincoln. I know his presidency wasn't held in high esteem, but what a guy. Such a role model.
There were several teachers in grammar school that I remember to this day. Two nuns, and then my science teacher in 7th and 8th grade. But the person who was a real inspiration was my MIL. She had a very hard life, and tough marriage, and yet I NEVER heard her say a bad word about anything or anybody. That woman is in heaven for sure.
Blessings,
CeilCeilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06293917798735764739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2081925465275931199.post-34572752302141192692016-02-17T21:16:57.954-06:002016-02-17T21:16:57.954-06:00I'm not sure about the president I would besto...I'm not sure about the president I would bestow the title of 'hero' on. For a personal hero, I would like to have a special time for is hard to limit it to one friend. I had two dear friends who stood by us the three months I was in the nursing facility. In spite of all the things going on in their lives, they were great about being there and visiting me, cheering me up. One got me some medical equipment I might have needed since I have been home. The other one GAVE me an i-pad that she had gotten at a seminar she went to.quietspirithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06086016141181470311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2081925465275931199.post-38372842661687456392016-02-16T18:19:57.018-06:002016-02-16T18:19:57.018-06:00my six grade teacher. not only did she daily feed ...my six grade teacher. not only did she daily feed my brain, but also my heart and soul.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09275456448997619944noreply@blogger.com
