Why be thankful you don't have everything you desire?

Be  thankful you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

  3. Though challenging, I appreciate the opportunities to grow. Through these times I've had to press in and seek the Lord more. He's always been faithful to take care of me and help me grow. So thankful for that. Thankful too, for you Jen. You are such an encouragement and it's a blessing to call you friend. :) xo

  4. I am thankful for all of those thing but especially,"Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character." Had I not had the difficult times I have faced, I would not have grown into the woman I believe God wanted me to be. Peace and Blessings for you and yours.

  5. Hi Jeanette! I was intrigued by the idea that I should be thankful that I don't have everything I'd like. Looking forward to things is one of the best things in life isn't it? I love that!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours my friend. May God's blessings be in and around your table as you lift up your thanks to him,
    Ceil
