Will You be My Friend?

Okay. Kevin read all the comments—thanks, you guys, for the time and thought you put into these lovely arguments—and he chose two winners:

Wendy, because you told about witnessing via Facebook, and he was impressed with using it as an evangelism tool, and
Angie, because you were honest and said you were still resisting the whole thing. He loves integrity in a person.

I was won over by these three:

Timothy Fish, because you found your kindergarten teacher on Facebook and because you connect with church members,
Eileen, because you want to “partner” with me so I can learn, and I think that’s sweet, and
Leslie, because you said Mary DeMuth signed up to be your friend, and I think that's cool.

These are the prizes to choose from. First come, first served. Email me at jeanettelevellie(at)gmail(dot)com with your street addy and your choice of a prize, and I will mail them out to you next week:

A signed copy of Authentic Parenting in Postmodern Culture book by Mary DeMuth

“Right Tight” CD by Rick Steel of AMG Publishing

“Solving Pesky Point of View Problems” CD by Tim Shoemaker, freelance writer & speaker

“You: a Word Carrier for God’s Kingdom” CD by Jane Rubietta
"You can Write Humor" CD by Jerry Brecheisen

The bottom line is, Kev says “Okay” to Facebook! Please pray I don’t get sucked into the black hole, and never write again! I will sign on sometime this month, after I finish my two proposals and send them to Hartline; will you be my friends?

  1. I'll be your friend! :-)

Congrats to the winners! Enjoy your prizes. :-)

  2. Yay! Glad you can join! And of course I'll be your friend! Let me know when you're signed on!

  3. I am still anti-facebook. My husband is trying to get me on, but I am resisting!

  4. I wasn going to post I like playing Farkle on FB, but I figured your sweet hubby wouldn't go for that! It definitely IS a time waster! lol

  5. I'll definitely be your friend. When I figure out how to link everything I'll be sure to pass the info along. It's supposed to be a huge time saver.

    Will you be twittering too?

  6. If I was on facebook, I would definitely be your friend. :)

  7. Yay--I'll be your friend too! Find me!

  8. Jessica: Thanks! Near the end of the month, I'm thinking, unless I get a miracle on these proposals.

Jody: Thanks! I'll find you, don't worry!

Diane: Just the opposite of us. Thanks for stopping by!

Sherrinda: Everyone needs some diversions now and then, don't you think? I won't tell! HA!

Eileen: Thanks! Will wait on the Twittering for a bit. Email me with your addy and choice of prize, please. The Mary book has already been spoken for.

Jennifer: You are so sweet! Look later next week for a post on outhouses, your favorite necessity!

Terri: Thanks, I will! Happy Fourth of July!

  9. Jeanette, Woo Hoo!
When you get signed on...come find me on FB! Set boundaries up front. That helps.
I'll shoot you an email soon. :D

  10. Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog!

  11. I will be your friend. Obviously I don't read blogs and facebook and twitter too often as I am just now reading your blog post and I really like this one

Oh, it's YOU! I'm so happy to see you here today, and look forward to reading your comments.
