What About YOU?

Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better.

Okay, ready for today’s? What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

An ice cream must have at least three words in its title for me to spend calories on it. Right now I can’t get enough of one called Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk. This deep pink, fruity ice cream dances on my tongue with chunks of rich, dark chocolate.

I’m convinced Jesus Himself invented it, and will serve it as dessert at His marriage supper.

What about YOU?

  1. Oh...you really know the path to my heart, don't you, Jeanette?? Ice cream!!! My favorite is chocolate with brownie chunks and caramel swirls...and then it gets even better when I drizzle Hershey's syrup over it. Never a thing as too much chocolate!!

Hmmmm....do you think I could get away with having some for breakfast?

  2. Almost two years ago I became lactose intolerant. Does that stop me from eating ice cream...absolutely not!

Starbucks Java Chip all the way.

  4. I think my flavor of ice cream matches my personality. I like vanilla, which should mean I'm a reliable, normal person but mix in some chocolate chip cookie dough pieces inside that vanilla base and 'wha lah', happy times!

Vanilla can be fancied up to any occassion and mood. I like to be versitle like that.

  5. Good morning, Jeanette~

Ice cream in the morning? WAHOO!

My favorite ice cream comes from a little ice cream stand right here in our little town. It's called a Rice Krispie Treats FLOTZIE and it is AMAZING! It is soft serve vanilla ice cream, Rice Krispie Treats cereal, and marshmallow fluff, blended together = OMGoodness! :> )

This is not good, you know.....now I have to have one and I don't have the car today. WAAAHHH! lol

I do have to say, I had some homemade banana ice cream at a Kline's in Waynesboro on Saturday that was just out of this world!!!!

    Blessings,
    Laura

  6. I found a brand new one just this weekend! I am an almond flavor fanatic & just this weekend I discovered that Ben&Jerry's make a new ice cream called "Mission to Marzipan"

OH Yah! Almond cookie chunks, marzipan swirl in sweet cream ice cream. Sweet, go-straight-to-my-thighs bliss.

  8. I hereby declare that you may eat ice cream in the morning! If you eat those calories early in the day, they burn off better. Muwahahahahaha!!!

  9. Sadly, I don't eat ice cream anymore. But when I did, I loved vanilla with anything chocolate in it--like oreo cookies or chips etc.

  11. Hi Jen -

Like several others, I'm lactose intolerant. Ice cream is a big no-no. When it comes to flavors, the only one that has my loyalty is chocolate.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  12. I would have to say something like Brownie, Caramel, Chocolate chip triple chocolate would be at the top of the list, if I could find it!

  20. Oh-oh, Jeanette, there's another one of those nasty spam comments a couple above this.

I love a big bowl of vanilla soft ice cream occasionally, but if I have to pick one favourite flavour it has to be "Moose Tracks", which is chocolate ice cream with mini chocolate-covered peanut butter cups throughout. I've been known to melt a spoonful of peanut butter and a few chocolate chips together as a sinful syrup to drizzle over the top. For a peanut butter and chocolate lover like me it's pure decadence!

  21. My favorite ice cream is Coldstone's white chocolate with one partion of white chocolate chips mixed in. If I can't have that, anything vanilla will do.

  22. Mint chocolate chip. Mmm... Mint anything and I'm in heaven.

  23. Jen:
Because of being caffeine sensitive, I steer away from chocolate. But I remember having some Rocky Road that was delicious.

I cast my official vote for straberry. We have a new ice cream place going in up the street from us. The building was built by one company that had ice cream but it didn't last beyond two seasons.
The new ice cream store is owned by a friend of mine and her husband. I don't know if they'll have any hand dipped or all soft serve. It opens in nine or ten days.
I hope it does well for them.

  26. At the moment it's Extreme Moose Tracks. My favorite of all time was the Sticky Chewy Chocolate from the shop in Santa Maria, California, which unfortunately burned down some 25 or so years ago and was never rebuilt.
