Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better.
Okay, ready for today’s?
What is your favorite part of nature?
I love trees. When I was a child, my brother, our babysitter’s kids, and I played for hours in a eucalyptus grove that embraced us with its tangy scents; as an adult, I spent my sweetest vacations camping among California’s evergreen forests. One of my dearest-held dreams is to own a home surrounded by trees.
What about YOU?
I love being in the garden! I don't have time for it anymore and have given it over to my daughter who loves it. She just picked our first meal of beans a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. This is really hard for me.
ReplyDeleteThe beach! Okay! The beach!
The roaring and crashing and hissing waves.
Love you,
Patti
I love being near water--lakes, ocean--the sound comforts me. But not so much here in Fl with all the creatures in the lakes!
ReplyDeleteFragrant, beautiful flowers. I can't get enough of them.
ReplyDeleteThis is a difficult one to answer because there are so many places in nature I love to be! Ocean, forest, wildlife sanctuary...
ReplyDeleteThere's so many things! But I think, no matter where I am, I always love wind. An angry storm or a gentle breeze, they both fill me with a really cool feeling. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe live across the street from the St. Johns river. I love the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves. I could go on and on about trees, so let me just say, Jen, you've hit one of my favorite topics. Beautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteAh! I can't pick just one. But the sake of playing by the rules....I'll say, the smell of rain!
ReplyDeleteTrees for me, too. I've lived in the mountains (or the foothills) my entire life and one of my favorite things to do is hike where there are lots of pine trees and aspen. Even when I write, I always talk about the trees. It's my way of getting to see them without actually traveling somewhere. I'd love to see the giant redwoods in California someday, though :)
ReplyDeleteHaving just come from Colorado, I would have to say the mountains. But a bubbling stream is close. Of course, I don't have that here in Texas, but I do love a beautiful flower bed. If my flowers are dead, then I love the trees and the sound of the wind rushing through them.
ReplyDeleteFavorite part of nature? The ocean! Its beauty and majesty leave me speechless. I love seeing all the sea creatures in clear water. I imagine God's voice as the 'the noise of many waters.' The sound and smell of the ocean is soothing! I'm ready for a roadtrip! Have a beautiful week, Jen!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jeanette, I can't decide. I love the water, animals, clouds, flowers, food.... It'd be easier to tell you what I didn't like. :P
ReplyDeleteHi Jen -
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say the flowering trees that bloom in the spring are my favorites.
Blessings,
Susan :)
I also have so many parts of nature that I love.
ReplyDeleteIf I could spend lots of time just running back and forth in the waves lapping some wonderful beach and find truly beautiful shells and bits of treasures the tide brings, I'd be a very happy camper.
I'm from the Keys. So it would have to be the ocean. But I love my farm in NC with all my animals. Especially the horses.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I am just thankful God lets us enjoy all of this. =)
I'm always amazed by the majesty of the ocean, the vastness of the beach and the feel of sand. Lovely post as always. :)
ReplyDeleteWater bodies! I love oceans and rivers. I live near the sea! I am totally a water baby:)
