Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better. Ready for today’s? What is your favorite meal?
Because it comes at the end of the day when most of my rushing and fussing is through, I most enjoy dinner—or supper, if you are from the Midwestern U.S. I take time for breakfast, but usually rush through it with a list of twenty-seven agenda items on my mind, and I spend lunch blogging, answering emails and Face booking. So, the evening meal is my most relaxed and fun.
Ice cream and Andy Griffith reruns usually follow supper, so that gives me another reason to enjoy it best.
Your turn…
P.S. Please join me Wednesday and Friday for an interview and book drawing with the incomparable Tosca Lee!
Dinner Dinner Dinner. That is because the TV has good shows around that time.
ReplyDeleteSO COOL about Tosca!
ReplyDeleteCan't WAIT for that one!
Hmmm. Favorite meal would have to be homemade Tex-Mex:
Cumin rice with veggies
De nadas (grilled little appetizers with cheese and salsa)
Fresh guacamole
Spinach and queso enchiladas
Mmmmmm.
Patti
Oh, I was going to write salmon with mashed potatoes smoothered in butter, but then I read Patti's. I might have to go with a Mexican fajita. Not sure that's spelled correctly. I'm not really sure I'm awake yet this morning.

Patti: I'll be right over after work tonight--keep some warm for me, okay?
ReplyDeleteI think de nada means "You're welcome" in Spanish.
This is awful as I really don't love meals so much-- I love to snack a lot:) I guess it would be breakfast cause it is fast and easier than cooking the others.
ReplyDeleteDinner for sure. My favorite meal would probably have to be pot roast and potatoes and carrots. Yum. I think I'm going to make that soon. (P.S. This is a terrible question to ask me today. I started a fast yesterday for spiritual reasons. It's good and what I'm supposed to do but still...:D)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely dinner. Although, I have always considered it the height of decadence to go out to breakfast, and that is a huge treat for me. I don't know why. Favorite dinner is probably steak smothered in blue cheese and mushrooms. Anything cheese, come to think of it!
ReplyDeleteAlmost anything as long as I'm not cooking or cleaning it up! :O)
ReplyDeleteSince I'm pregnant, it's impossible for me to narrow down my favorite meal or food for that matter. Right now, I just love food!
ReplyDeleteTosca Lee!!! I LOVED Havah. Love, love, love that book. Wow.
ReplyDeleteOkay...onto food.
My favorite meal is breakfast. Gotta love my breakfast! The house is quiet. I follow it up with hot tea, emails, and blog. Oooo, I love it.
I love Italian dishes, good south Jersey pizza...speaking of which, I need to go make dinner!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen :)
Yes, supper is my favorite. Lunch is usually rushed.
ReplyDeleteI like lobster and crab. I don't get it that often, but our anniversary is later this month, so we'll go out to lunch for it. Maybe dinner.
ReplyDeleteYes evening here too. I eat boring oatmeal for breakfast (I do try and wake it up by sprinkling with coco and agave to sweeten it), Lunch is something low carb and protein packed, dinner is whatever my gorgeous husband BBQ's for me. ;) I much prefer sushi but that is a rare treat that my husband does not like to pay for.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanette! My favorite meal is some sort of cheesy pasta (lasagna?!), sourdough bread and salad, with something yummy like pie or cheesecake for dessert. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love breakfast the best. It's my favorite restaurant meal, too. I don't always get to, but when I can, lingering over breadfast is the best treat of the day for me.
ReplyDeleteI adore Andy Griffith, too. They just don't make them like that anymore. Sigh.
Jen:
ReplyDeleteI like pasta- in almost any form. We went out to Bob Evans today for lunch. I had spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread.
Hi Jen -
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of breakfast. There's nothing like a bowl of cereal with a banana and blueberries on top. Yummy! Eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries...I'd better stop or I'll end up cooking at 9:00 P.M.
Blessings,
Susan :)
