Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better. Ready for today’s? What is your favorite singer or band?
For pure worship, I vote for Michael W. Smith every time. His music moves me into the presence of God like no one else’s. For musical versatility and revelation of the Lord’s mercy, Nicole C. Mullins. I’m also crazy about Third Day.
If you can narrow your fave down to one, I applaud you!
Your turn…
No I can't. Unfortunately, many of us wouldn't be doing justice to our choices if we would narrow down to ONE:) I am still to explore that one.
ReplyDeleteTodd Agnew - love the song, My Jesus. It's all kinds of powerful!
ReplyDeleteBono.

OK, so I don't have a favorite. I just listen to whatever my daughter put on her IPOD and then gave to me to work out to!
ReplyDeleteM. Smith still looks so young too! My favourite is Switchfoot. I like many but alway have to listen to get my daily Foot in.
ReplyDeleteDon't really have one. Usually I have to listen to things over and over again to really enjoy them. :O)
ReplyDeleteFor worship, I'd say Chris Tomlin. Otherwise, my current faves are Lady Antebellum and Norah Jones. Eclectic, right? :)
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I have a favorite. It depends on my mood. I love many of the praise and worship bands and Michael W. Smith ranks at the top. However, I love many other styles including Blue Grass...and I like it all LOUD!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
andrea
Probably Selah. So hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteToo hard to narrow it down, but I do love Michael W. Smith's worship series. Also like the Newsboys worship cd.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen
My playlists look like someone blew up a record store and threw everything back together. But for worship I'd have to say I always go back to Hillsong music.
ReplyDeleteCan't be done, J, sorry! I like too many bands/singers of all shades and stripes. Except bluegrass. Oh, and rap/hip-hop. But I love the question.
ReplyDeleteSmokie Norful. My all time favorite gospel singer. His sultry, spirit filled voice brings tears to my eyes and makes me long for my Savior:)
ReplyDeleteWe're on a similar wave this week... I mentioned a couple impressive bands yesterday, but I wasn't thinking then of favourites. When I want toe-tapping, well thought out secular music I like Trooper, but most often the music I have on is more background and meditative, usually piano. I particularly like Christina Shehi.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!
Carol
Mark Schultz. I love his voice.
ReplyDeleteHhhmmm, I really love Chris Tomlin for worship. For a snappy beat, I enjoy Natasha Benningfield...don't think I spelled that right!
ReplyDeleteLove Michael W. Smith!!! He was my foray into Christian music way back when. I found out last month that my dad is co-authoring Michael's book!!!! Very exciting news!
Narrowing it down to just one singer, I'd have to say Andy Williams. I know that I'm showing my age, but just listen to him sing Moon River and you'll know what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteI was introduced to the worship music of Fernando Ortega (former worship leader/pianist for Chuck Swindol) at pregnancy care center conferences years ago. I'd have to say, his music is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen -
ReplyDeleteSteve Green's music is awesome. Beloved and I had his, "Cherish the Treasure," at our wedding. I've also used his CD's for our sign language specials.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Too hard, way too hard! But I'm a big fan of Francesca Battistelli. She brings something fresh to the Christian music scene. I love a lot of pop mainstream music and country too.
ReplyDeleteI can't narrow them down to one. I like the songs.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can narrow it down either so I will say:
ReplyDelete1. Lenny LeBlanc
2. Travis Cotrell
3. Phillips, Craig, & Dean
4. SELAH
All amazing voices with such hearts for God!
Blessings~
Laura
