After I read the blog post by Michelle Sutton on the Hartline Blog, I started thinking, “What is my message? What do I want to say in my writing? When I leave this earth, what will people remember me for?”
My brain has been storming for two days now. I’ve asked friends, co-workers, my agent, even my husband for ideas. Now I need your help. I’ve narrowed the list down to four favorites, and I’d like your input.
Please tell me which Brand name best suits the mission and ministry you see in my writing. And if you have another idea for a Brand, I’m all eyes. It must include humor and inspiration, and be short and snappy, not sappy. Thanks for your help, you wonderful yous!
Here are the four finalists:
• Stories of Mirth and Worth
• Mirth with a Message
• Messages of Wit and Worth
What do you think?
And... please join me today on my friend Rhonda Schrock's blog, The Natives are Getting Restless, where I hope to tickle your funny bone in my story, Poops Happen.
I'm going to be no help at all, other than to say I about died when I saw that picture of the dog in the bun! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteMirth and Worth and yes, that dog is fabulous!

I'm thinking...Messages of wit and worth...

Happy weekend,

Stories of Mirth and Worth
ReplyDeleteThis one seemed easier to say out loud:) And says you combine humor with worthy information.
Jen, I'm going to go w/the mirth & worth, too. I like the sound of "Stories of mirth and worth" bette than Messages . . ., but the messages would allow you to be more creative in fic & non, possibly?

The first is my favorite, but honestly, none are quite there enough for me. Elaine Miller would be a great one to ask. :O)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, these pics are ADORABLE. We have chickens, cats, and kittens too. I'm wondering if that's why they keep staring into our chicken coop? They want their pic made with the chickens. Or could there be something more sinister afoot?
ReplyDeleteThe horses are always staring at the chickens too. I think they must be wondering what those strange things are. :)
I loved reading your story this morning. :) I'd have to go with, Stories of Mirth and Worth. That is catchy and has a ring to it.
LOVED those photos.............
ReplyDeleteCan I be honest.... I'm not totally sold on any of them. But I don't have anything other titles to offer at this point.
I think your postings have more zing and zap and inspiration to them than the finalist brand names suggest...
I want to think that HE has a zinger for you.... one that's still in the works.....
The reason I say this is because I recently did a blogging workshop for writers.... as I worked on the details I could never quite decide on the theme/focus of it. I thought I wanted to provide lots of 'how to' in it.
But for all the notes I did gather for it, on the actual day I presented it, what came up out of my spirit was the real desire to ignite my listeners with the eternal possibilities of blogging as believers/writers in the 21st century.
I didn't see that until AFTER I started getting feedback from people and when I re-listened to the recording. That's what came out so clearly. That was the heart of it, but I couldn't quite grasp until I saw it later.
So, as I alluded earlier, I think there's a piece of your puzzle still waiting to be placed..... and then you will see and know it! YOU will know it. It will be perfect.
Hugs............
That puppy picture is to funny and I like "Healing Humor"!!
ReplyDeleteHealing Humor all the way girl!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite: Stories of Mirth and Worth. Or just Mirth and Worth.
ReplyDeleteI liked Stories of Mirth and Worth. It suits you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. Diane Estrella suggested "Mirth, Mayhem, and Miracles." I like that very much.
ReplyDeleteI like that one too... Mirth, Mayhem and Miracles.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen -
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best, but I don't think any of them do you justice. The ones with Mirth feel like a tongue twister to me.
Blessings,
Susan :)
