Exciting News!

I know, I know. I said I was going to be offline for two weeks. But I have some very exciting news to share, and it can’t wait!

While at the Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference last week, I met Beth Patch, who is the Spiritual Life Devotions Producer for CBN.com. She informed me that my devotion,
I’m Behind You, is posting today! To read it, please go to http://www.cbn.com/spirituallife/devotions/levellie-behind-you.aspx.
This is not a paying market, but the readership is one million! I am so honored that they chose to publish this piece. I had almost given up on them, as I sent them two devotions over a year ago, and did not hear back. At the request of my agent, Diana Flegal, I re-sent them several months ago, and got a return email that they would be published soon.

The moral of this story is: Keep persevering. As Winston Churchill said, "Never, never, never give up." Whether you are raising kids, writing, or losing weight, if you know it's God's will for you, He will make sure you succeed.

What are you tempted to give up on? Can I pray for you today?

  1. I'd really like to hear good news from an agent soon. And sure, I'll take prayers. I'm a fan of those. Happy Birthday again.

    And Congratulations!!!

  4. Yay! Isn't it nice to have these little nuggets to keep us going? Congrats! Yes, you can always pray for me! Sometimes I get to feeling sorry for myself. I know IM called to facilitate others in their writing journey, but sometimes I wonder when my nugget will come. Actually we all need to pray for the boulders to come our way....we have a mission to complete, don't we!! We need to expect more and believe for bigger opportunities.
    Have a great week!

  5. Congratulations Jeanette! What a great accomplishment! I am so on the fence with this writing thing. Just because I feel like I'm spinning my wheels, but not going any where! There's of course several other things that I could be just as committed to, that I would see results from, but here I am!

  15. Looking forward to reading your devotional. Congrats! You've been an inspiration to me on my faith journey. I thank God for you! I could use prayer when it comes to my writing. I've lost momentum and, lately, feeling too extremely tired to concentrate on my works. It seems overwhelming lately, with all other life 'stuff' that has been going on.

  17. Wonderful news, Jen! Congratulations! Love Churchill's advice, "Never, never, never give up." Appreciate your prayers for our soon to be 20-year old daughter - that she would embrace God's will for her life. Thanks!
