What About YOU?

I am reinstating the What About YOU? feature on Mirth and Worth, which was very popular when I ran it a couple of years ago. If you'd like to read former posts, see below:

And now, the What About YOU question for this week:

What is your favorite funny movie? You may say more than one, if you just can't decide. Ready, set, go!

  1. Good question! I am drawing a blank here...let's see, I enjoy romantic comedies, such as You've Got Mail (is that technically a comedy?) and my family and I enjoyed Rocketman years ago. Will have to give this some more thought. Thanks for asking! What's your favorite, Jen?

    1. Yes, Karen, I think You've Got Mail is considered a romantic comedy. It's a remake of the movie, Shop Around the Corner with James Stewart. One of my faves, by the way!

I love oldies like Father was a Fullback and the Thin Man series. Thanks for asking!

    1. Denise: Is that Gary Cooper? I know my husband has it, but can't remember the stars.

  3. I think of the ones I've seen in the last few years, My Big Fat Greek Wedding is the one I've laughed the longest at, although there are others, too. Fun question~

  4. I also like, "You've Got Mail." I really like "Sleepless in Seattle." I think the dialog us funny when Annie is trying to keep her fiance from finding out what she is doing. Iknew YOu've Got Mail was a remake but I didn't realize Jimmy Stewart was in the original.

  5. My favorite funny movies are Madea goes to jail, Madea's family reunion, Madea's big happy family. Diary of a mad black woman. They have a great Christian message in most of them, but they are for the mainstream audience. I also like A Christmas story, which is my all time favorite movie.

  6. Oh I have a lot of comedy films in mind but I don't have a favorite. Do TV series count? I love watching Big Bang Theory, How I met Your Mother, Mike and Molly, King of Queens, Anger Management, among the many :)

  7. Like Lea, I like many comedy films but no one film stands out for me right now. If TV series count, the funniest I've watched are Arrested Development and 30 Rock. I just started watching a new TV comedy starring Matthew Perry called Go On. It has some promise of being very funny...

    Fun question. Thanks for asking!

    Smooches...
