Does God Care about Voters?

I rarely talk about ballot issues or political candidates, even with my own family members. But I do talk to God about them. Does God Care about Voters?

Of course He does. He is love, so he cares about everything we go through, from a bee sting to a bad relationship; from a D on a quiz to a divorce. He cares. And he wants to be involved in every area of our lives, even politics. This is what he has to say in his Word, the Bible, about politics

"He sets up kings (or any other rulers) and deposes them" (Daniel 2:20) NIV.

" 'Woe to the obstinate,' declares the Lord, 'to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit.' "
(Isaiah 30:1), NIV.

"So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known" (Matthew 10:26) NIV.

You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage” (Matthew 20:26-28)The Message.

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness
(I Timothy 2:1-2) NIV.

"Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Amighty, just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy, all nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed" (Revelation 15:3) NIV

These are only six thoughts out of a volume of sixty-six books! Yes, God cares about voters, because he cares about you.

Please pray, and please vote.
