Cruise, Anyone?

Whether you write your goals and post them on the wall or simply have them in your head, they are helpful in spurring you along your writing path. I have daily goals I write in two planners (work and home); summer writing goals; and one, five, and ten year goals. Then there are those monumental lifetime goals.

Somehow telling others our goals aids us in achieving them. Let’s share some goals for this weekend and beyond:

I would like to write one chapter for my WIP and send out an article to “Birds & Blooms" magazine this weekend. One of my lifetime goals is to go on a cruise. I don’t care where it takes me, as long as it’s warm and I don’t have to cook or clean!

What about you?

  1. Awesome goals, Jen.

As for me, I'd like to get another 3000 words in today. July is coming to an end and I still have about 20,000 words to write to finish this story.

Long term goals--to visit New York some day.

  2. Today, I want to rest and soak in HIS word.
    Blessings, andrea

  3. Eileen: Wow, 3000 words! Good for you, for setting your sights high! I agree with you,

Andrea: I will agree that you accomplish this goal today,

  4. Cruises are awesome!!!

Let's, finish a short story and send it to Woman's World. Also, make my one-sheet, finish my revisions and try to think of a greeting card verse. :-) Thanks to you, I've got some good advice, just have to sit down and do it.

Long term goals, have a happy family and kids who both like and respect me when they're sixteen.

  5. My goals....hhmmm, I would say getting my WIP edited by August 3.(I go back to work that day.) And I would love to go to Scotland some day. :)

  6. It would be nice to have a full article in my favorite magazine, 'Christian Woman,' by Gospel Advocate.

Long term, a one week vacation with my family to include my parents and siblings.

  7. Jess: Wow, Woman's World has a column of cute things your kids say, I believe. That would be perfect for you! I like your 2nd goal, too.

Sherrinda: Did your Dad love the ms? Or are you having someone else edit it? I'd love to go to Ireland myself!

Larie: What is your article about? When do you plan to send it? Mary DeMuth teaches to set attainable, specific goals. Set a date.
You are brave, to bring your whole family on a trip!

  8. This weekend--edit at least two more chapters on my WIP --get the entire edits done by the end of August. Write two more greeting cards this weekend.

Long term--learn how to be a speaker!

  9. Long term goal: get published. Sometimes before I die, would be nice. :)

Oh, it's YOU! I'm so happy to see you here today, and look forward to reading your comments.
