Writing

Writing must not be
My affirmation,
My way-station,
or my destination.
It often becomes
My aggravation,
My trepidation,
My aspiration.
I long for it to be
My elation,
My vocation,
My oblation.

Jeanette, beautiful picture of our writing life. Some days it's all of these things, and some days only the good things.

  12. Beautifully said. I do believe poetry is the most concise way of writing ever!! No wonder I haven't a clue as to how to do it.

  16. Jeanette:
You have described what we all go through. Sometimes, I'd rather be doing anything else.
