What About YOU? The Perfect Meal

Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know YOU better. Ready for today’s? What constitutes the perfect meal?

I envision a plump steelhead trout grilled in lemon butter; steamed fresh veggies kissed with garlic and herbs; tender rice pilaf; and the silkiest chocolate crème brulee’ melting on my tongue.

Can’t forget my favorite drink: strong coffee, the darkest roast, brewed in a French press from freshly ground beans.

Your turn

  2. Hi Jeanette,

Oh, man. Meals. Let's see...can I just have the chocolate and coffee? ;)

(I have to eat small portions due to my finicky tummy. It's okay though--chocolate is best consumed in small doses anyway! Small, *frequent* doses!)

  3. Fresh homemade rolls, mashed potatoes and turkey:)

  4. Okay, I'm going to eat a lot so pretend not to notice. But here goes:

    Fresh bread appetizer.
Perhaps a glass of white wine.
Salmon on the grill doused with butter and brown sugar (Northwest style.
    Mashed potatoes drowning in butter.
    Stuffed tomatoes.
    Fresh raspberries.
    Chocolate milkshake (thick!).
    Cream broule (sp.).
Decaf caramel latte (my latest fav.).

    Ah, I'm full now. Thanks.

  14. Hi Jen -

Congrats on passing the 100-Follower mark!

My favorite meal is simple: Tomatoe sauce, homemade meatballs, pasta cooked al dente, a salad, and black olives. After a short rest, milk and chocolate chip cookies top off the meal.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  16. Jen: An ideal meal for me is grilled chicken breast and baked potato and a vegetable-corn or green beans.
An ideal meal when I am in a hurry is anything I can get.

  17. Oh, you mean I have to choose just one? No, I can't, I'm sorry just can't...I like too many things.... Can I just say all of the above and then some?

  18. Oh, dear. I'm with Karen... I like too many things. Let's see. Hmmm... I really love chicken stir fried with peppers, mushrooms and onions, served over brown rice. But would I choose that over a good barbecued steak, with stuffed baked potatoes, steamed asparagus and tossed salad? Oh, don't make me choose! It's too stressful. I'll have to go plug in the kettle and make myself a steamy cup of chai tea. :)

  24. G'eve Jeanette ~ Anything noodles ... anything chocolate or SWEET! If we are eating out it would be a margarita or champagne, if we are at home ... that savory deelish cup of hot tea. That'll take care of me quickly. Chuckle!
