What Abou YOU? Favorite Comic Strip

Every Monday I ask a question, to get to know you better. Ready for today's? What is your favorite comic strip? Or, do you even read the comics?

I hope you can read the above strip of Baby Blues. My husband doesn't get why I laugh every time, but you have to be a mom or former mom of little ones to understand.

Your turn...

  1. I like the old fashioned Peanuts, or maybe Calvin and Hobbs. I'm not a big commic strip reader though.

  2. LOL, I'm sure I'll be living that comic strip in a couple years! My favorite comic is Family Circus. Those kids always say the cutest things. :)

  3. How weird I came to write Calvin and Hobbs or Family Circus and the two ladies above me had those covered.

I also love The Far Side. My brain in a nutshell.

  6. I love too many to pick just one. That is the only section of the paper I will read. :O)

  7. Hi Jeanette - thank you for visiting my blog. It's so nice to meet you!

This is one hilarious comic. My all time favorite is Pickles. It's an elderly man and his wife, and they are absolutely hilarious. My all-time favorite Pickles comic strip goes like this:

Hubby and wife are sitting on the front porch swing at night. He looks at her and says, "Your teeth look like pearls in the moonlight." She looks back at him and says, "Who is Pearl? And what were you doing with her in the moonlight?"
    Hahahahaha!!!

  8. Cute! I like Baby Blues too. I can relate to it not only in thinking back on my own children, but especially now with my three grandsons. Peanuts, Family Circus and Dennis the Menace are some of my favorites.

  9. I'm horrid. I don't read any comic strips. When we did get the paper, my husband always read them and I might glance one over but it has been years and years.
I used to love comic books as a child. I remember the thill of getting boxes of them from families we knew.

  14. Cute comic! That about sums it up with boys. Girls too, when they are keeping up with their older brothers. We won't mention any daughter's names...

Always liked Calvin and Hobbes and a lot of The Far Side.

    Blessings,
    Karen

  15. I do love the Baby Blues. Reminds me of some little ones I love. Also like Calvin & Hobbs and Dilbert. I used to read the comics often, but now I can't remember when I last read them. Am I getting more mature or more boring? lol

  16. Cute!! I used to love Peanuts when I was younger. And then Cathy later. But I think both of those are gone now! We do forget that it's okay to read what makes us smile. Thanks for the reminder.

  17. I don't read the comics now. I used to read holiday comics and I would save any God/Jesus allegories or references in Family Circus and B.C. When I was very young, I liked Nancy and as a teen I loved Archie and Katy Keene. (Does anyone remember that one?)

  18. Oh my goodness! I'm convinced the gray hair poking out of my head is the direct result of similar experiences.I'm sending this to my boys (including the big one I call Husband) as soon as I finish this comment.
Our local paper doesn't run comics, so I usually do without. My favorites when I was younger were Archie (I remember Katy Keene, Nancy!), Calvin & Hobbes, and as an adult I've come to appreciate the dark humor of Bloom County. "Aaaack."

  19. When our family was young I always liked reading Family Circus and Dennis the Menace. Being a dog enthusiast I also liked Marmaduke. (P.S. Hope your Angus has returned safely.)
