TV Interview Tomorrow

I am not one to walk up to strangers and ask for prayer for my neice's dog groomer's aunt Louise who is having her bunion removed. But since I consider you family, I would like to request some prayer for my mother's sometimes-ditzy daughter--moi--who is doing her first TV interview tomorrow. It's a program called "A Life of Influence" that will air on a local Christian network. The host is a lovely speaker, Laura Rudder.

Anyway...

I have this funny habit of saying what sails into my brain from outer space or only-God-knows-where, and I don't want to embarass myself by being stupid.

Like last week. I was measuring something at the desk of a lady who buys office supplies from us. A rather plump fellow employee of hers walked by and said, "Hi, how are you? Measuring today?" Instead of answering, "yes," I blurted, "Don't worry-I'm not doing waistlines!"

So you see how I am.

Will you pray for me, Please?

And when the program airs, I'll put a link here to the video for you. So you can see for yourself how God helped me not be stupid.

Thanks!

I'll pray and you go get 'em.

  9. Jeanette, I hope I didn't catch this too late, but I just lifted a prayer. And rest assured that we have ALL had those foot-in-mouth moments.

May I share a classic? An elderly couple in my husband's family visit funeral homes often, for people they know or even barely know. They make quite a habit out of it.

Once, my husband's relation approached the new widow and asked, "So, how's your husband doing these days?"

Needless to say, all conversation stopped. Talk about an awkward moment! You know you visit funeral homes too often when you can't keep track of the deceased. ;-)

Best wishes and God bless you endeavors!
