How to Make Friends; Three Winners

Bing images
"There was a definite process by which one made people into friends; it involved talking to them and listening to them for hours at a time." --Rebecca West

I don't know what book or story this quote comes from, but I heart it. If you know, please tell. I'd like to read the source in its entirety.

My dad used to say "If you come to the end of your life and have one true friend, you are ich."Although I'm not nearing the end of my life, I can say I'm rich, with more than one loyal friend. Many of them are ones I've met blogging, like yourself.
With that in mind, I'm thrilled to announce the winners of my I Love My Blog Followers Office Products and Chocolate Drawing:
1st Prize: A basket worth over $50 of office products and chocolate: Cecelia Lester of Following My King;

2nd prize: A journal, pens, and chocolate: Susan Panzica of Eternity Cafe;

3rd prize: Four pens and chocolate: Sarah Forgrave of  Sarah Forgrave

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all who entered the drawing. I especially appreciate you who agreed to host my blog tour when Mirth and Worth in the Real Lane releases in April.

What three qualities do you regard MOST important in a friend?

  1. Congrats to your winners.

    Honesty, a giver, and courage are what I admire about friends.

  3. Congratulations! And I "know" all of those girls! So happy for them.

    You are a true friend, Jeanette. You're such a blessing to me - and many others, I know.

    God BLESS you for the wonderful way that you love us.

  6. Jeanette:
    I feel honored. Thank you.
    The top three qualities I see in my friends are loyalty, compassion, and selflessness.

  7. I enjoy friends who can tell it like it is in a firm but gentle way, prayer warrior, and knows how to kick back and have fun. These probably aren't characteristics, but it's how I can tell if I'm going to hit it off with someone.

  9. I like friends who are supportive through the good and the bad times(like you have been:) and those who will be honest and truthful to me.

  10. Three best traits of a friend- authenticity, sense of humor and compassion. The best friends are the ones who you can tell your deepest fears and biggest temptations (and sins) to with no fear of judgement. Gotta love that kind of unconditional love.
