What About YOU? Baking or Cooking?

The #1 reason I welcome autumn is for the baking I get to do.

Baking is therapy for my over-active, always-planning, merry-go-round mind. It relaxes and refreshes me.  Consuming the finished product is fun, too.

Today’s What About You Question: Would you rather bake, or cook?

  1. I love to bake and now that I am back home, when I do bake,I can share it with my friends instead of us eating all of it ourselves:)

  2. I enjoy both. However, when I bake it is usually to share with others or give to someone.

I like the pictures you shared. Did you make those things?

  5. I am going to confess. I like to bake and I used to like to cook. But I got our of the habit of baking because of Hubby's diabetes and Son didn't need the sweets, I didn't either. Our schedules were such that I would have been cooking all the time.

  7. I understand how baking can be therapy! I do prefer baking for it's creativity component but often do not get the results I want. Can I blame it on the oven and not the creator? :)

  9. I'm sooooo much a baker and not a cook....although I do cook, it's not as satisfying as baking. What it is? I don't know, but it seems there is less to clean up w/ baking...and baked goods are usually sweet!

    1. Mare: Baking is a comfort art with a fun, happy treat at the end, whereas cooking is a necessity. At least that's my story.
