Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie, one you never tire of watching? Ours is Silent Mouse, a made-for-TV movie from the 80's. Starring Lynn Redgrave as the narrator, Silent Mouse is the story of how the famous carol, Silent Night, was written, with a bit of literary license thrown in.

The main character is a mouse named Nonny. Her full name is A. Nonny Mouse. I love that!

Unfortunately, it's only available on VHS. We keep looking, hoping to find it on DVD. We've played our copy over 20 times--it's that delightful!

So. . . what about you? What's your favorite Christmas Movie?

  2. We have so many ... but I will go with the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, "Seasons for Miracles."

  3. We do - A Season for Miracles! Part of its charm is the old, beautiful Victorian house that it's filmed in. Plus the angels and the miracles and all the other stuff that makes a super-duper Christmas movie. :)

  4. Easy--I adore Jimmy Stewart, so Wonderful Life wins. I also love to watch Holiday Inn.

  9. We like the Polar Express here in our home. It's an animated movie and so much fun to watch with the kiddies during this season. It's playing on cable in a week and I have the DVR already set up to record it. ;-)

Thanks for asking, Jeanette! Hope you're doing well.

  10. Oh, I forgot about the Bells of St. Mary's. That's a great one, too. Anything with Bing is fun.

Has anyone seen The Thin Man with Wm. Powell and Myrna Loy? One of our favorites.

And Claymation Christmas is a work of art!

Thanks, everyone, for your input. Happy watching!
