10 Funny Quotes for Dog Lovers and Crazy Cat People

I resent it that some refer to me as a “crazy cat lady” because I own four felines, while those who own the same number of canines are called “dog lovers.” But I’ll set aside my resentment for a minute to share a fun list of 10 quotes regarding dog lovers and cat people.

1.      Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow. –Jeff Valdez

2.      Dogs come when they’re called. Cats take a message and get back to you. –Mary Bly

3.      I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals. –Winston Churchill

4.      I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven’t got the guts to bite people themselves. –August Steindberg

5.      Never sit with a cat in your lap when your wife turns on the vaccuum cleaner. –John Small

6.      People that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life. –Faith Resnick

7.      Dogs do not use computers. They can’t stick their heads out of Windows 98. –Unknown

8.      A cat isn’t fussy, so long as you bring her milk in the shallow, rose-patterened saucer and fish on the blue plate. From which she will take it and eat it off the floor. –Arthur Bridges

9.      I have a great dog. She’s half lab, half pit bull. A good combination. Sure, she might bite my leg off, but she’ll bring it back to me. –Jimi Celeste

10.  If you think dogs can’t count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. –Phil Pastoret
Are you a dog lover, a crazy cat person, or both?

  1. Thanks for the Friday laugh Jeanette.

We had an exception to the #2 quote. Our old cat used to come running when she was called. Maybe after living with a dog for some many years, she had lost her feline identity or something...

  2. I love these quotes. And I think for the rest of the day I will have an image in my mind of little cats pulling a sled...

  3. Thanks for the chuckle today, Jeanette. I became a dog lover a year ago when my husband and daughter convinced me to let them get a Maltipoo puppy. He has brought lots of laughter to us.

  4. Sorry, Jeanette, I am what you would call neither. I have had not so good experiences with cats (as a child). I was afraid of dogs until Hubby said we were going to get one (We'd been married for about 10 months.) I loved that dog. We had some bad experiences with that one and the others ones we had.I have learned to respect the animals. But there may be a bit of fear still in me.

  6. Love dog and cat quotes; love those pics of animals on FB; love those little buggers! Can you guess I'm both a cat and dog lover?

    They don't talk back! :)
    Well, maybe.

  7. So cute! Especially #3 ;D
I'm a dog lover. But I do have to thank my hubby's antisocial (but who loved me) cat. When we were dating Tony told his cat Chooch (Italian for stupid)"say meow if Susan & I should get married." Chooch promptly meowed. Then Tony said "That's too easy. Say 'Ruff' if we should get married." To which Chooch immediately & gently grrrrrrr'd. After we picked up our jaws from the floor, we started thinking more seriously about our relationship LOL!!

  9. Love the quotes! I have another one for you:

Dogs think they're human. Cats know they are. - Author unknown

I like both, but lean more toward cats. Bundling up and walking a dog at 6:00 A.M. is too much for this gal.
