
In first grade, I admired my sweet,
youthful teacher so much I wanted to emulate her and teach school. By the end of
my first year in college, I’d changed my mind more times than a hermit crab
changes homes, from a gourmet chef to a journalist; from an opera singer to a
service woman.
The
one thing I said I’d never be was a preacher’s wife!
