Wanna Win a Bloggiversary Prize?

This month I'm celebrating one year of blogging bliss! I began co-blogging with my husband Kevin one year ago with "Custom Made Grace." After realizing our paths were wending in different directions--imagine that!--I gifted the original blog to him and created "Audience of ONE." Kevin changed his blog's name to "Jesus in the Real World," where he posts on a plethora of subjects, all pointing to his love for the Savior.
I have been saving books, cd's and other nifty gifts for this party, and I hope you win one! Here are the rules:

Everyone who comments on a post this month will have their name put in my prize basket to receive a gift. One comment per post, please. On random days throughout the month, I will draw several names and announce the winners.

If you are not a follower and you join this month, you will get your name put in the basket twice. This is in addition to the comments you post.

If you put a link to one of my posts during this month on your blog, I will enter your name again. Please email me at jeanettelevellie(at)gmail(dot)com to inform me of the link.

Thank you, wonderful bloggers, for all I've learned from you, for the many ways I've grown as a writer by reading your stellar prose, and for being my buddies. If not for you, my successes this last year would be lonely and hollow.
Do you enjoy parties, or do you prefer a quiet evening at home with your family?

  1. Aren't you just the fun blogger, partying away all month? That is so fun! I love to be with friends at parties, but if I truly had a choice, I would be home. With family. Or even alone. Sometimes I think it is because I work in a busy, busy office and just want to have quiet when I am at home. :) I do love a great party though!

    Happy Bloggiversary!!!!!

  3. Congratulations! That's really fun!

I'm a quiet evening at home person. Parties give me hives. I usually am one of the last to arrive and the first to leave. :0)

  5. Happy Blogaversary Jeanette! What a great idea. I don't enjoy parties at all, except family parties. If I do entertain, two people plus me and my husband is my preferred way to socialize.

  8. Thanks, one and all. Grab a Coke or iced tea and some chips. By the end of the month we'll have progressed to gourmet coffee and chocolate cake. Those of you who prefer quiet can take your snacks home...

Your names are in the basket for a prize.

Jessica, I consider "Party Animal" a complimentary title!

  12. Hi Jen -

Yay! Congratulations! Thanks for throwing the Blogoversary party. Please enter me in the contest.

I'm more of a quiet evening at home type of gal. After a busy day, I love connecting with all my blogging buddies and reading a good book.

  14. Jen, I have so enjoyed following your blog. The best thing about blogging is meeting awesome people like you. It's amazing to me that two people can come together and be friends just because we both love the Lord and writing. I see you are making progress on your WIP. Way to go. Blessings.

  15. Congratulations, Jen! I've been out of the blog-loop for so long - what a good time to get back in :)

I'm definitely an at-home girl. I used to be the party girl, but I'm getting old ;) I'll take a bowl of popcorn with my hubby any day!

  16. Great idea to celebrate your first year in the blogospere. We are all the better for your online presence.
I really don't enjoy parties unless it involves very close friends. A majority of the parties around here are with our large families and they are a ton of fun.

  17. Have become the stellar recluse. Snuggled close to my loved ones tucked safely in our home is my favorite place to be.

Congratulations on one year. Wow! You have planted seeds already in my life that I am so thankful for.

I look forward to crawling out of my shell and partying with you all month!

  18. Jeanette:

Congratulations on your blogaversary. And may you have many more.

I like the spirit of a party. I recently went to a 75th birthday Open House at church. Nothing really like a party to get the adrenalin going.

  20. I love quiet evenings, Jeanette, but the great thing about blog parties is that I still get those quiet evenings and a party too. Congrats on the one year mark!!!

    Happy celebrating.

  21. About your parties-vs.-home question, I really like both. I love to be at parties with close friends or family members, but I like quiet evenings at home, too (assuming they were quiet; I have 3 kids under 7, and the oldest takes forever to fall asleep.) I have lots of hobbies I like to do at home. Thanks for having this contest; I'll look forward to hearing if I win anything. God Bless You! You are a blessing, too!
