  1. I like L'Engles, maybe because I was told my whole life that I act older than my age and it always made me feel too old. I like this idea that maturity enables childlikeness. Heeeheee!
Great quotes! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. :-)

  3. Do you have L'Engle's book, "Herself"? I love it. Laughter...ah! It does remind me of God's grace.

All of these are good. I like Karl Barth's and L'Engle's.
God gives us a gift of laughter, it makes us feel better about issues and circumstances.
And who can be childlike unless they have matured in the faith?

  9. I love the one by Madeling L'Engle. Being childlike is very difficult, but greatly to be desired. So that's why I like it.

  12. Probably laughter! Especially a baby's laughter. Now....the flipside is the crying/screaming...which I've been dealing with for the past TWO hours. Oh Lord Jesus, give me patience.

  15. They are all good, but the one that struck me today is L'Engle's. To be comfortable with yourself to be uninhibited like children.

I love this one. Original is harder than being fast for sure:)

  18. Aw. Laughter is the closest thing to the grace of God. I notice since I've started my spiritual journey, I laugh more. And when I do laugh, it comes from my soul. It's loud and raucous (to others). Sometimes I laugh so hard I cry (like when I'm exercising recently). It's a joy to feel it. I feel like I haven't "felt" for so long! God is great.
