Quirky or Interesting?

What about you? Are you quirky-- or simply interesting?

Here are two of my many quirks:

I have a thing about pens. I can’t stand tacky ballpoint stick pens, which I consider cheap. I almost insist on using either a gel or a roller ball pen, preferably retractable. I don’t have the patience to fiddle with caps. And I prefer blue, purple, or green ink. Black seems so common.

I also have a thing about colors. If I have a choice between white and a color, unless it’s paint, I will choose a color every time. I’m crazy about brightly colored post-it notes and highlighters. My Bibles look like coloring books. I’ve even asked the Lord to put a colored stripe in my white linen robe when I get to Heaven, so I won’t be bored wearing a solid white gown!

Your turn…what are your quirks? Or interesting habits?

P.S. I am guest posting on my friend Catherine Hackman’s blog today, and would love you to join me. You might discover a third quirk of mine over there…

  4. Love those pens. Think you sent me some a few years ago. Hmm...quirky? I wear other people's clothing to feel close to them.

    1. I remember sending those pens to you, Wendy! And I've heard of that clothes wearing thing from another friend. It's not so unusual.

  5. I, too, love colors, and my arsenal feels complete only when I have the total array of Sharpie fine points. I am a committed workout junkie, and I also have running shoes in the wildest colors imaginable. I am well known on the tracks and at my gym for them.

  6. Hmmm, not sure. I'm probably quirky since I've been called weird quite a few times. lol
Now, as for that heavenly gown, you know white reflects colors so I have a feeling the robes are going to be shimmery and constantly changing colors with movements...just my thought though. lol

  7. I'm quirky, I guess...lol!

I've been told that I'm interesting...when I talk about the Civil War. I guess I don't look like a gal that would know much about military tactics, cavalry, firing a cannon, shooting a musket, hardtack, and so on....lol!

I like pens, too ... even black ones.

  9. My guys roll their eyes and--yes--laugh when they see my handful of colored gel pens. I keep them in my purse to use in my gratitude journal. It may be quirky, but it's a quirk I love!
